FORMER Labor leader Mark Latham has called on Julia Gillard to call Jakarta's bluff by towing asylum-seeker boats back to Indonesian waters without the country's approval. Mr Latham, who led the ALP in opposition between 2003 and 2005, last night renounced the party's opposition to forcibly turning back boats, saying the policy "should be tried because of the extent of the crisis".
